Despite the lack of updates, Silent Uproar Records is alive and kicking. A few things we had planned for 2008 didn't pan out, but such is life. We've got a couple projects in the works now, but it's best to hold off on specific details until there is solid news to report. However, what I can tell you is that Silent Uproar Records has relocated to the Charlotte area (Concord, to be precise). If you've mailed in a demo or album in the past several months, please check our Contact page and send us another if it was mailed to the old Raleigh address.

Silent Uproar Records is proud to announce that on January 15, 2008 we will be releasing the first full length record from Nashville, TN. outfit Codaphonic. The album, The Ballad of Codaphonic, contains nothing but pleasurable pop-rock goodness for your ears. Keep your eyes on this site for the first mp3 from the album but in the meantime check out the artists section of the site to learn more.

Silent Uproar Records is pleased to announce the addition of Charlotte, NC’s Stemage to our roster. This entire project was conceived, written, and performed by Grant Henry of Metroid Metal fame and will mark his full-length, debut release. Bellaparker has been featured on the WOXY show "Unsigned" - featuring the best unsigned bands from around the nation. Granted, The Things We Say was released on SUR but we love it when more people get to hear their great music. In our on-going effort to bring you great new music from around the country, Silent Uproar Records is pleased to announce the signing of the Capulets! We will be releasing the band's debut album in the coming months and lining up a ton of shows in support the release. More details soon.

bellaparker has been receiving kudos from around the web lately. After an amazing live show during SXSW, the band stopped by the music podcast program The Next Big Thing to do an interview. The debut EP release from Austin, TX based Bellaparker is available in our store. Be sure to download the title track The Things We Say and then hit up their artist page for more information about the band. They just finished rocking some faces off at SXSW and will be hitting the road and future festivals in the not too distant future.

After long long last, we've launched the official site for Silent Uproar Records - the independent music releasing arm of Silent Uproar. We'll be adding more content over the next few weeks but in the meantime just go forth and download some mp3's from our artists, possibly purchase some CD's, and tell a few friends.
