Stemage (aka Grant Henry), the man responsible for the origins of Metroid Metal and 2006's Strati, has released a new solo album, Zero Over Zero. According to Grant, the album is an "instrumental narrative" based on the 1978 Romero classic Dawn of the Dead. The songs are rhythm guitar heavy and influenced by the myriad rock genres which have inspired Grant over the years, most notably Rob Crow's song structures (or lack thereof) with Heavy Vegetable and Thingy.
Visit the Release page for links to stream and download the album from Bandcamp, Amazon and iTunes. A limited edition package with a CD in an Eco wallet, a 6.5" print and stickers, bundled in an 7" Arigato Pak, is also available.

It's been a long time coming, but we've launched a new version of the Silent Uproar Records website. While we tend to only release 1-2 albums per year, it's still important to give our artists and catalog the organization and respect they deserve.
We'll be rolling out small updates and new content as we go along. If you'd like to keep up with our plans, please sign up for the mailing list.
In music news, we're ramping up for a new full-length from Stemage and a reissue from Charlotte, North Carolina's Nemo (there are about 11 other Nemos around the world, so we're releasing it as Nemo 1934). We'll have more dates and details soon.

We're heading up to PAX East in Boston, MA this weekend with the guys from Metroid Metal. Stop by Bandland, say hello and pick up some MM merch.
In other news, we're in the process of overhauling this label website. It's being designed right now and then will get coded up. We hope to launch it ahead of some upcoming releases we're excited about.

We're happy to announce a new release from Charlotte, NC collective Push Pals is now available to stream and purchase on Bandcamp. Hopefully a little of the band's "crunk punk" is just what you need to close out 2010 (or kickoff 2011).
